For Homecoming 2015 we exhibited documents and artifacts ranging from the design phase of our current structure through its inaugural year in 1924. These included a copy of the complete original house plans, penned by notable Chicago architect, Benjamin H. Marshall, retrieved from the archives at the University of Texas library. Take a look at the house which presumably provided Mr. Marshall much of the inspiration for our house. Pictures and newspaper articles which feature the house opening have been obtained from the University of Illinois and Urbana Free libraries. Rounding out the display will be more information on Mr. Marshall himself and some of the hot trends in 1924.
The displays are provided for your enjoyment. The original plan files are too large to upload.
