Psi U helps defray school costs for our members through two programs – one scholarship-based and another where brothers may earn their keep. Additionally, we sponsor a scholarship grant program for those freshmen males who best embody our ideals. Take a look at the scholarships that we offer:
Psi Upsilon Foundation Scholarships
Since the program awarded its first grant in 1959, the Psi Upsilon Foundation has provided almost $700,000 to help defray the educational expenses of our members. Scholarships offered through the Foundation are to help members of the Fraternity who show financial need and demonstrate achievement in the pursuit of moral, intellectual, and social excellence. Each Scholarship is a minimum of $500, though additional money can be awarded based on need. Apply today through this link. Our chapter has a great history Psi U scholarship honorees, including Matt Nimrick ’08 seen here receiving his award. Two of these scholarships give preference to our undergraduates:
- William P. King, Omicron ’73 Award
- Salvatore L. Biardo, Omicron ’04 Award
Psi U Scholarship Grant Program – Incoming Freshmen
Presented by the Omicron Chapter, the Psi Upsilon Scholarship Grant Program awards a total of $3,000 to three incoming male freshmen attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign who exhibit the highest moral, intellectual, and social excellence. Top prize is $2,000, second place is $750, and third place is $250. Applying for or receiving the grant in no way obligates you to join Psi Upsilon Fraternity. Proof of financial need is not required, and grants are non-renewable. Click here to apply or check it out on Facebook.
