Chicago, IL
Manager – Accenture
BS – Engineering Mechanics
Justin Clark is married to Sarah Konsky, also a University of Illinois alum. He enjoys motorsports whenever possible.
I don’t know where to begin regarding memories, but a favorite is when a slightly inebriated brother Drew Haning mistook Grant Alsman and myself for a fire and promptly proceeded to put us out with a fire extinguisher.
Other favorites include every I-Night and the trip to Miami/Key West for a rare football bowl game.

Matthew R. DalSanto Ph.D. ’04
San Francisco, CA
Associate – Winston & Strawn
Ph.D. in Applied Economics and M.A., Economics, both from the University of Minnesota; J.D. from Boalt Hall (University of California, Berkeley, School of Law); B.S. in Mathmatics and Economics from the U. of I.
I am currently serving as chairman of the Fraternity’s Alumni Advisory Board. I am the voting representative of the board on the Fraternity’s International Board of Directors or Executive Council. My last two years at Illinois, I served as one of the two undergraduate delegates to the Executive Council. Brothers Corner and Finkelstein encouraged me to continue my service to the international board after graduation, and so that following summer I ran for and was elected Chairman of the Alumni Advisory Board at its annual meeting which coincides with the Convention. Since the summer of 2003 I have been serving in this capacity.
As an undergraduate at the Omicron, I served as the Treasurer, President, Pledge Educator, Philanthropy Chairman, Alumni Relations Chairman, and “Dress-Up Dinner” Chairman. My University activities included serving on LAS’s General Education Committee, the Provost’s Tuition Advisory Board, and running as an Independent for Student Trustee. I have many great memories, but one of the highlights was when we invited President Stukel to the chapter house for dinner. He accepted our invitation and we had a great meal prepared by the legendary Eloise and Gussie and an interesting Q&A session. I was also honored to head up the Sam Biardo Memorial Philanthropy for Organ and Tissue Donation for two years. We collected money for the Regional Organ Bank of Illinois and also disseminated information on campus about the common misconceptions of signing a donor pledge and the need to inform family members of one’s wish to be an organ and tissue donor. My three favorite events as an undergrad were my pledge class’s Pledge Dance, our Initiation Night, and our Walkout to the Epsilon Nu chapter (MSU).

Dave DiPrima ’89
Mount Prospect, IL
Banker – ABN AMRO
BS – Psychology, MBA – DePaul University
Brother in law to Alumni Treasurer Boyd Bach ’91, Dave is married to Boyd’s sister, Beth, and they have two children, Toni and Taylor. Penthouse alum and a charter member of the “Horsemen”, Dave served for several terms as Alumni VP before moving to the Board. He enjoys working on his home, including supervising a major addition completed over the last several years, and has recently taken up woodworking.
Dave remembers (vaguely) winning a “Supid Human Tricks” competition with Doug Truskowski ’89 and splitting open his head in the process. Another one of Dave’s favorite memories is working in tandem with Jeff Wargin ’91 to sneak off with Chuck Eilers’ ’91 beer, and then waiting until after graduation to fess up to Chuck and buy him a replacement case!

Lew Finkelstein ’83
Foothill Ranch, California
Partner in the CPA firm of Rossi Doskocil & Finkelstein LLP in Long Beach, California.
I grew up in Wakefield, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston, prior to attending the U of I from 1978-1982. I’ve been in public accounting since my graduation from the U of I in 1982. I moved to California in 1984 and have lived in Orange County since 1986.
I’ve been married to Sheree Metzner, a Michigan native, since 1994. We have two boys, Joey born in 1999 and Michael born in 2003.
I’ve been active with the Psi U International Organization the last ten years or so and am currently the treasurer of the Psi U Foundation Board. I very much enjoy the camaraderie of attending 2-3 out of town meetings per year and the annual convention with the good friends that I have made with the brothers involved with the International Organization.
I have also been the President of the Orange County University of Illinois Alumni Club since 1992. I am an avid sports fan and San Diego Charger season ticket holder, a big Red Sox fan, and enjoy our usual annual vacations to Hawaii and Boston, trips to Las Vegas, attending my son’s sporting events and playing golf whenever I can find time. I very much enjoy my typical annual trips to Champaign for Homecoming. The last few years we have hired several U of I grads for my CPA firm.

Andrew Haning ’00
Chicago, IL
Futures Broker – RJO Futures BA – Sociology College was a bit of a semi-true story as there are some things I have forgotten and some stories that have been a little embellished since the time they happened. A couple of things that did happen were graduation, my two terms as Archon, working at Kams and summers on the sundeck. Today I live with my brother Will Haning ‘98.5 and enjoy grilling on the deck, golfing on the weekends and meeting up with friends for dinner, cards or Illini sporting events. |

Robert E. McIntire ’68
Danville, IL
Attorney at Law – Public Defender, Vermilion County
Both the Omicron and the University have had few alumni as dedicated and loyal as Brother Bob McIntire. The Omicron’s unofficial singer, Brother McIntire is a repository of chapter history and wisdom which he has graciously shared with a generation of Psi U’s. Often seen carrying around his beloved guitar at Homecoming and wearing his badge with pride, Bob is married to Cheryl, and they have a son, Jeff, and a daughter, Mindy, who was a Pi Phi at Illinois and Panhel President.

John B. “Jay” McManus ’89
Chicago, IL
Senior Project Manager – EDS
BS – General Engineering, BA – History, MS – Financial Markets and Trading from Illinois Institute of Technology
Held several positions as an undergraduate including social chairman, internal vice president, and Archon. A consummate weekend cook with my co-chef and pledge brother Tom Slattery (much to the dismay of Rob Auw, our Kitchen Manager). Attended the original barbarian feast and lived on all floors while living in the house.
During my years at Illinois I also studied martial arts, played clarinet in the concert band, and was a proud member of the Irish Illini. One of the more memorable events while in college was meeting my wife, Amy, at an exchange with Sigma Kappa.
After graduating I have been active on the alumni board for several years and have held the positions of President and Secretary. My hobbies include cooking, listening to music, travel, and following the Fighting Illini.

Bob Petersen ’68
Wheaton, IL
Senior Vice-President/Sales, Stifel Nicolaus & Company, Incorporated. Stifel Nicolaus is a financial services/brokerage firm based in St. Louis. They are best known for consistently excellent research; they are the only firm to place in the top 5% (of 200+ companies) in each of the past seven years. Brother Petersen has been based in the Chicago office for more than seven years, and has been in the securities business for 36 years.
Brother Petersen loves the University of Illinois. He received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering in 1968, and since he had a 2.02/4.00 GPA in his major (3.3 in everything else), also earned an MBA-Finance in 1970.
While an undergraduate, Brother Petersen founded the Beta Chi, and held various offices in the house. There were so many great memories: Helping to renovate the Red Room during 1968 spring break; bridge games after dinnertime, Cherry Kijafa punch at parties (and dates standing in line to throw up in the powder room), and best of all, the r.f’s. Since graduation, he has been on the Omicron Alumni board since the 1970’s, serving as President for five years (1982-1987?), attending to nearly every Homecoming since graduation. In 2010, he was elected to the Psi Upsilon Foundation board and is currently serving as treasurer. “Psi U has been instrumental in making me the person I am today. It has been an honor to be a member of the Omicron of Psi Upsilon for 47 years (so far).”

I have also served as a research assistant to Dr. Kent Olson at the “U” where I have worked to analyze various policy proposals on the commodity programs portion of the 2007 Farm Bill. This August I will be moving out to California to begin the J.D. program at UC-Berkeley (Boalt Hall). |
